Behavioral interventions for sleep disturbances, are evidence-based techniques aimed at improving sleep quality and duration by changing sleep habits and patterns. Some behavioural interventions that have been proved to improve the sleep inititation and duration are: Sleep hygiene, stimulus control therapy, sleep restriction therapy, cognitive therapy and relaxation techniques among others. Behavioural interventions may involve also caregivers and family members.
